Who should attend?
This course introduces the delegates to Manual Metal Arc Welding (MMA). This course should be regarded as a foundation for individuals who are expected to carry out basic welding activities.
About the Course
The emphasis of this course is based on the practical aspects of welding, but covers all relevant aspects of health and safety. The basic knowledge and skill gained will allow course members to use the equipment and produce welds in the flat position.

Who Should Attend?
This module is designed for delegates who already have an understanding of the basic fundamentals of MMA welding or have attended our MMA Welding Introduction Course.
About the Course
This course allows the delegate to develop their MMA welding skills. The course is designed to be of a practical nature and includes all relevant technical knowledge and health and safety issues associated with the welding process.
On completion of this two day programme delegates will have an understanding of the requirements to produce a butt weld and fillet weld on low carbon steel up to 6 mm thick. A prerequisite to the MMA Welding Intermediate course is prior basic knowledge and understanding of the MMA welding process or attendance on Waterside’s MMA Welding Basic Introduction Course.

This module is designed for personnel who have experience of MMA welding or have attended Waterside's MMA welding intermediate course.
About the Course
This course allows the delegates to develop their understanding of the MMA welding process and has been designed to have a high practical content but adequately covering all relevant aspects of health and safety and the underpinning knowledge required to do the job.
On completion of the programme delegates will have a thorough working knowledge of the MMA welding process and an ability to identify problems associated with the welding of low carbon steel up to 6 mm thick. A prerequisite to the MMA Skill Development Course is the MMA Welding Intermediate Course or already have equivalent knowledge and skills.
