This course introduces the delegates to TIG welding. It should be regarded as a foundation and be for individuals who are expected to carry out basic welding activities.
About the Course
The emphasis of the course is on the practical aspects of welding the health and safety for welding activities and introduces the delegates to tungsten inert shielded welding (TIG). The knowledge and skills gained will allow course members to understand the function of the equipment and ensure that safe conditions for welding are met. This course should be regarded as a foundation.

TIG Welding Skill Development
Who Should Attend?
This module is designed for personnel who have a grounding or understanding of the fundamentals of TIG welding or have attended our TIG welding introduction course.
About the Course
This course is designed for delegates that have an appreciation of Tungsten Inert Gas Shielded Welding (TIG) systems and wish to further improve their technical understanding and practical skills. It will be assumed that delegates have prior knowledge of TIG Welding equipment or have attended Watersides basic introductory programme.

- Selection of correct weld parameters for specific applications
- Assessment of weld quality
- Basic troubleshooting and fault finding
- Production of a range of welded joints in various materials and thicknesses required
