Engineering Trainer and Workplace Coach

Ian has recently joined Waterside Training as an Engineering Trainer and Workplace Coach.  Ian’s role is to mentor and coach apprentices in different stages of their apprenticeships engaging with both apprentices and employers to provide advice and guidance on developing the apprentice in their role to End Point Assessment in Engineering.

Ian is a highly skilled Engineering Technician with over 20 years Electrical and Mechanical Engineering experience.  Ian has a background of Engineering training within the MOD serving 22 years as an Aircraft Engineering Specialist Technician in Avionics within the Royal Air Force.  During his time in the RAF, Ian reached the rank of Corporal before moving into the Rail industry as a Warranty Technician in 2021.  Ian joined Waterside in August 24 to continue to pass on his Engineering Skills to the new generation of engineers today.
